Yankees Legend Yogi Berra Will Be Featured on New Stamp

Yogi Berra forever.

Later this year, local post offices will begin to sell stamps that feature one of the most prolific stars of mid-20th century baseball, New York Yankee Yogi Berra, The New York Post reports.

The 10-time World Series champion and three-time AL MVP was a crowd favorite who famously coined the phrase: “It ain’t over ’til it’s over.”

He first uttered those famous words while managing the New York Mets during the National League pennant race in 1973. (His team defied the odds, and the Mets went on to win the division that year.)

Born as Lawrence Peter Berra, the Hall of Fame catcher died in 2015 at 90.

It’s no easy feat to get on a postage stamp, and for those who didn’t see this one coming, Yogi just might say: “The future ain’t what it used to be.”
