Little Italy Future Leaders (LIFL), sponsored by Italian Sons and Daughters of America, is a brand new culture and networking initiative developed by Northeast Ohio’s younger Italian American generations.
LIFL will celebrate its launch the right way by throwing an authentic sausage-making party at the Italian American Museum of Cleveland — located at 12111 Mayfield Rd., next to Presti’s Bakery — on Thursday, June 1, at 6:30 p.m.
Guests ages 21 to 40 are invited (good news: it’s all FREE).
Two local Italian American chefs — Robert Fatica (Primo Vino) and Patrick Capuozzo (The Orchid House Winery) — will prepare and perfectly grill the sausage and peppers.
Chef Fatica will literally push his old school sausage grinder through Little Italy and set it up in the Museum for a hands-on demonstration (guests can roll up their sleeves and learn the process).
Plenty of vino and antipasto will be enjoyed on the Museum’s private back patio as well.
ISDA National President Basil Russo will be in attendance to offer a toast and promote the LIFL initiative, which will create new opportunities for collaboration among ISDA’s existing Northeast Ohio lodges (Avanti Amerita Lodge, University Lodge, and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Lodge).
