Italian American Future Leaders Amplify Next Generation’s Voice, Vision

The all-expense-paid Italian American Future Leaders Convention (ages 21-35), a premier 3-night event in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., is elevating tomorrow's cultural pioneers.

A Special Message from ISDA National President Basil Russo:

To the ISDA community,

It’s my privilege to announce that the Italian American Future Leaders (IAFL) will host its 3rd annual all-expense-paid national convention for young Italian Americans, ages 21 to 35, in Ft. Lauderdale from January 17th to the 20th.

This convention is one of the most exciting and significant programs ever initiated by the Italian American community. Its purpose is to bring together hundreds of young Italian Americans to collectively discuss, appreciate and elevate our heritage.

The goal is to inspire these young leaders to assume leadership roles in Italian American organizations across the country. I am proud to report that the ISDA has sent more participants to the first two conventions than any other organization in the U.S.

Encouraging our young ISDA members to attend this convention is crucial to ensuring the future prosperity of the ISDA for generations to come. Each of you should invite a child, grandchild or a younger ISDA member (ages 21 to 35) to attend this exceptional weekend.

This IAFL program was founded two years ago by me and two of our ISDA District VPs, John Viola and Patrick O’Boyle. John has done an excellent job serving as the president of IAFL.

The application process for IAFL3 has ended, but additional information can be found at: iafuture.org

All attendee expenses — including hotel stay, food and entertainment — are covered by the program. The only expense not covered is travel to and from Ft. Lauderdale, which should be sponsored by your ISDA lodge.

Once someone from your lodge has submitted an application, please email me as I will do my best to ensure that all of our ISDA applicants are accepted, as the program typically receives more candidates than it can accommodate.

Thanks for all your help, as we pass the torch from one generation to the next.

Respectfully,

Basil Russo

National President, ISDA
