Howling down the road at 145 miles per hour, the Italian State Police raced from Rome to Gemelli University Hospital — located in the northern city of Padua — to deliver a donor’s kidney, according to The Drive.
It was a 303-mile trip, and they reached the hospital within about two hours.
The police used a specially modified Lamborghini Huracan, which, apart from the usual bells and whistles, also includes a refrigerated trunk, sirens and police computers.
Cross-country organ delivery isn’t its only job, though, as the high performance sports car is also used to carry out traffic stops and arrests.
