Ingredients
1 loaf brioche bread (i.e., Aldi’s chocolate chip brioche)
1 c whole milk
6 eggs, beaten
1 tbsp vanilla
½ c heavy cream
½ c ricotta cheese
¼ c sugar (optional)
2 tbsp orange zest
Filling:
1 c powdered sugar
4 oz softened cream cheese
¼ tsp salt
¼ c ricotta cheese
mini chocolate chips, as desired (if not already in the brioche)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350o Butter a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
- Mix milk, heavy cream, ricotta, sugar, zest, eggs, and vanilla; set aside.
- Combine filling ingredients and spread on top of half of the brioche bread slices. Then, top each slide with another piece of bread. Cut into quarters.
- Place bread quarters in prepared baking dish. Top with milk mixture.
- Cover and bake for 20 minutes.
- Toss in mini chocolate chips (amount as desired), and bake another 15-20 minutes.
