John Travolta’s ‘Saturday Night Fever’ Suit Sells for $260,000

Hopefully, Tony Manero will get a cut of the profit.

The groovy, three-piece suit worn by John Travolta in 1977’s “Saturday Night Fever” went up for auction in late April, and the highest bidder shelled out $260,000 for the iconic ensemble.

The pop culture threads were part of the “Hollywood: Classic & Contemporary” sale organized by Julien’s Auctions and Turner Classic Movies.

According to auction organizers, the suit — worn by Travolta in the movie’s famous dance competition scene — is one of only two used during the production of the film. The jacket features exaggerated peak lapels with pick stitching and two oversized pockets.

The hit movie, filmed throughout Brooklyn, popularized disco music across the globe and Travolta received a Best Actor Oscar nomination for his role in 1978 (he lost to Richard Dreyfuss).

The suit includes letters of authenticity from Paramount Studios and Travolta himself.

Salute to Tony Manero.
