St. Ann Feast Day Comeback: Roast Beef Heroes and Big Crowds in Hoboken, NJ

Thousands of people streamed into Hoboken, N.J. over the weekend for the 109th St. Ann’s Italian Festival.

The support and enthusiasm is another welcome sign of Italian America’s feast day comeback on the East Coast and throughout the country.

Patrick Pasculli, former mayor of Hoboken, helped organize the festival this year. As president of the Holy Name Society for the parish, it has been his responsibility to pull together both the festival and the novena masses for St. Ann’s Day, NJ.com reports.

The Solemnity Mass took place on Monday, followed by a traditional procession through Hoboken with the 600-pound statue of the Patroness St. Ann.

July 26 is the final day of the feast, and if you’re going, be sure to get the world famous Fiore’s roast beef hero.
