Italy pulled off a stunning comeback on Sunday, winning their first FIFA Women’s World Cup tournament game since 1999 with an extra-time victory over Australia, CBS News reports.
In a high-contact game that drew a combined 39 fouls, Italy emerged victorious when Barbara Bonansea scored at the 94 minute mark.
Bonansea scored twice over the course of the game to give Italy the last-gasp 2-1 victory.
